But wait, what exactly is "the Arena?"
The Arena is the competitive mode on BGA. If you master a game and want to play it competitively, this is THE mode to use, so you can challenge the best players and get the most experience points.
The Arena is organized in seasons of 3 months each. Achievements are awarded to the best players at the end of each season.
To play in the Arena: select "Play" and then choose "Arena" instead of "Simple game."
Arena format and Gurus
In the previous seasons, it was you (more exactly the gurus) who chose the game formats for the Arena: player number, options used, ...
We are very happy to see that this way of doing things contributed to making the Arena more popular: thank you to all gurus for their smart suggestions and their votes!
Rules updates
No Arena rules are changing this season. It does not mean we are 100% satisfied with how the Arena is running, but you seem to appreciate the current rules so we want to keep them as they are for now.
Season 21 is NOW Launched.
The new Arena is now open for its new season.
Some Explanation About: Relegations
At the end of each season, after winners have been awarded, you are relegated.
Some custom relegation rules may have been applied to games for some reason (ex: we decided to update the number of leagues), but in general here is what happens:
- For games with 6 or 5 different leagues, all players are decreased by 3 leagues.
- For games with 4 different leagues, all players are decreased by 2 leagues.
- For games with 2 or 3 different leagues, all players are decreased by 1 league.
- For all games and all leagues, your number of Arena points is reset to 1, and your AES ("Arena Elo") is reset to 1500.
It's up to you to find the way to the elite!

Arena Seizoen 21: Tjilpende Tafelbladen

Maar wacht eens, wat is "de Arena" eigenlijk?
De Arena is de competitieve modus op BGA. Als je een spel onder de knie hebt en dit in competitieverband wilt spelen, is dit DE modus om te gebruiken, zodat je de beste spelers kunt uitdagen en de meeste ervaringspunten kunt vergaren.
De Arena is georganiseerd in seizoenen van elk 3 maanden. Aan het einde van elk seizoen worden Prestaties toegekend aan de beste spelers.
Om in de Arena te spelen: selecteer "Nu Spelen" en kies vervolgens "Arena" in plaats van "Eenvoudig spel".
Arena-formaat en Goeroes
In de voorgaande seizoenen was jij het (of preciezer gezegd de goeroes) die de spelformaten voor de Arena koos: het aantal spelers, de gebruikte opties, ...
We zijn heel blij om te zien dat deze manier van werken heeft bijgedragen aan de populariteit van de Arena: bedankt aan alle goeroes voor hun slimme suggesties en hun stemmen!
Regel-updates
Er veranderen geen Arenaregels dit seizoen. Dat betekent niet dat we 100% tevreden zijn met hoe de Arena draait, maar jullie lijken de huidige regels te waarderen, dus we willen ze voorlopig houden zoals ze zijn.
Seizoen 21 is NU Gelanceerd.
De nieuwe Arena is nu geopend voor het nieuwe seizoen.
Enkele uitleg over: Degradaties
Aan het einde van elk seizoen, nadat de winnaars zijn bekendgemaakt, degradeer je.
Het kan zijn dat er redenen waren om aangepaste degradatieregels op wedstrijden toe te passen (bijvoorbeeld: we hebben besloten het aantal competities te veranderen), maar over het algemeen gebeurt het volgende:
- Bij spellen met 6 of 5 verschillende competities worden alle spelers met 3 competities verlaagd.
- Voor spellen met 4 verschillende competities worden alle spelers met 2 competities verlaagd.
- Bij wedstrijden met 2 of 3 verschillende competities wordt het aantal spelers met 1 competitie verlaagd.
- Voor alle games en alle competities wordt het aantal Arena-punten teruggezet naar 1 en wordt je AES ("Arena Elo") teruggezet naar 1500.
