The Wolves is a pack-building strategy game for 2-5 players. It's survival of the fittest as you compete to build the largest, most dominant pack by claiming territory, recruiting lone wolves, and hunting prey. But be careful not to expand too recklessly into terrain where your rivals thrive– they may lure members of your pack away.
A clever action-selection mechanism drives your choices. Each action requires you to flip terrain tiles matching the terrain where you wish to take your action. These double-sided tiles mean the actions you take this round will set up which terrain types you can act on in the next round. As you take actions to expand your pack's control of each region, you also upgrade your pack's attributes, allowing you to take more aggressive actions as the game goes on.
In three mid-game scoring phases, power is calculated in each region. At the end of the game, players tally points based on VP tokens earned in these scoring phases and the highest VP number revealed in each of the six tracks on your player board. The player with the most VP wins!

WOLVEN: Zou jij Wall Street overleven, maar dan in het bos?
Wees geen wolvenroedel van één man of één vrouw.
Neem wat vrienden mee naar de actie!
Wolven is een strategiespel voor 2-5 spelers, waarin je een eigen roedel wolven leidt.
Het is 'survival of the fittest' terwijl je strijdt om de grootste, meest dominante roedel te vormen. Claim gebieden, neem eenzame wolven in je midden op en jaag op prooi.
Maar pas op dat je niet te roekeloos uitbreidt op terrein waar je rivalen ronddwalen. Die zouden wolven uit je roedel kunnen weglokken!
Een slim actieselectiemechanisme stuurt je keuzes.
Voor elke actie moet je terreintegels omdraaien die overeenkomen met het terrein waarop je je actie wilt ondernemen.
Deze dubbelzijdige tegels betekenen dat de acties die je deze ronde uitvoert, bepalen op welke terreintypen je in de volgende ronde kunt handelen.
Terwijl je acties onderneemt om de controle van je roedel over elk gebied uit te breiden, upgrade je ook de eigenschappen van je roedel, waardoor je agressievere acties kunt ondernemen naarmate het spel vordert.
In drie scoringsfasen halverwege het spel wordt de kracht in elk gebied berekend.
Aan het einde van het spel tellen de spelers de overwinningspunten op basis van de tokens die ze in deze scoringsfasen hebben verdiend en het hoogste aantal overwinningspunten dat in elk van de zes sporen op je spelersbord wordt onthuld.
De speler met de meeste overwinningspunten wint!
