We all love cats. And by all, I mean... me. To start.
And this game is no exception to me: there is an island full of cats. FULL OF CATS!
But we need to save them before the evil Lord Vesh arrives.
And as we know, cats are not the best animals when it comes to being in water.
If there was an animal swimming competition, I would not bet on a cat.
So the goal of the game is to fill our boat with cats from the island to rescue all of them.
Can you imagine that?
A boat full of purring balls of fur?
Each cat is represented by a unique tile, with different shapes and colors, and belongs to a family.
So we need to make them fit on deck while keeping families together.

Study ancient lessons
Each lesson you collect adds another way of scoring points with either a personal or public goal, and there are 38 unique lessons available. Complete lessons, fill your boat, and keep cat families together to score points. The player with the most points after five rounds wins.
It is a cute game for 1 to 4 players, lasting less than an hour. It won quite a few nominations worldwide, so it is definitely worth a look.. or a try!

In short, The Isle of Cats is a competitive, medium-weight, card-drafting, polyomino cat-placement board game.
Thanks to the designer Frank West and the publisher The City of Games, this title is now available for you all to play on your favorite platform!
And, obviously, nothing would have been possible without the one, the only, the Mr. Mistoffelees: bennygui, who developed the game for you all to enjoy.
No fancy expansions available for the moment, but you can play in Family or Solo mode, which is quite convenient to discover this awesome game.

The ISLE of CATS: Welkom in de Miauwtrix!
Iedereen is gek op katten.
En met iedereen, bedoel ik vooral...
mezelf.
Om te beginnen althans.
En dit spel is niet uitzonderlijk voor mij: er is een eiland vol katten.
VOL KATTEN!
Maar we moeten ze redden voordat de kwaadaardige Lord Vesh arriveert.
En zoals we weten, zijn katten niet de beste dieren als het om water gaat.
Als er een dierenzwemwedstrijd zou zijn, zou ik niet op een kat wedden.
Het doel van het spel is dus om onze boot te vullen met katten van het eiland om ze allemaal te redden.
Kun je je dat voorstellen?
Een boot vol spinnende ballen van bont?
Elke kat wordt vertegenwoordigd door een unieke tegel, met verschillende vormen en kleuren, en behoort tot een familie.
Dus we moeten ervoor zorgen dat ze aan dek passen en tegelijkertijd gezinnen bij elkaar houden.
Je moet ook resources beheren terwijl je:
- Het eiland verkent (door kaarten te kiezen)
- Katten redt
- Schatten vindt
- Vrienden wordt met Oshax
- Oude wijsheden bestudeert
Elke wijsheid die je verzamelt, voegt een andere manier toe om punten te scoren door middel van een persoonlijk of openbaar doel. Er zijn maar liefst 38 unieke lessen beschikbaar.
Voltooi wijsheden, vul je boot en houd kattenfamilies bij elkaar om punten te scoren.
De speler met de meeste punten na vijf ronden wint.
Het is een leuk spel voor 1 tot 4 spelers, dat minder dan een uur duurt.
Het won wereldwijd aardig wat nominaties, dus het is zeker de moeite waard om een kijkje te nemen..
of een poging!
