This festive season, we have the great pleasure to unwrap online Coup, a game from Rikki Tahta published by La Mame Games, now available on Board Game Arena!
In Coup, you'll be intriguing your way to power in an old italian city state as the head of an influent family. Your goal will be to discredit other families and force them into exile. And to reach this goal, morals are of course both redundant and quite useless! Bluff, lies and intrigue on the other hand...
On your turn, you'll chose one of the possible actions, that may match one of your 2 character cards in hand... or not! But if another player thinks you are bluffing, he can call your bluff... and if you are indeed bluffing and he catches you red handed, you'll lose face before the Italian court (and in the game, you'll lose one of your characters in hand). Of course if you are unduly accused and can prove your innocence by revealing the proper character, then it's your accuser who loses a character. A player who loses both character cards in hand is eliminated from the game: to win, you have to be the last one to stand proud before your peers!
Coup is a fast paced and fun game full of counters and surprises! We are really happy to have this great game join BGA's Premium catalog. Like the other Premium games (7 Wonders, Carcassonne, Terra Mystica, ...), you need to be a Premium member to create a new table of the game, and after that you can play with whoever you want to (Premium or not). In Coup probeer je als hoofd van een invloedrijke familie door intriges aan de macht komen in een oude Italiaanse stadstaat.
Het is je doel om andere families in diskrediet te brengen en hen te dwingen in ballingschap te gaan.
En om dit doel te bereiken, zijn morele waarden natuurlijk zowel overbodig als nutteloos!
Bluffen, leugens en intriges daarentegen...
Als je aan de beurt bent kies je een actie die misschien overeenstemt met een van de 2 karakterkaarten in je hand...
of niet!
Maar als een andere speler denkt dat je bluft, kan hij je bluf uitdagen...
en als je dan inderdaad bluft en hij betrapt je op heterdaad, zul je gezichtsverlies lijden voor het Italiaanse hof (in het spel verlies je dan één van de karakters in je hand).
Natuurlijk; als je ten onrechte bent beschuldigd en je kunt je onschuld bewijzen door het juiste karakter te onthullen, dan zal je aanklager een karakter verliezen.
Een speler die beide karakterkaarten in de hand verliest, ligt uit het spel; om te winnen moet je als laatste trots overeind staan voor je collega's!
Coup is een snel en leuk spel vol tegenacties en verrassingen!
We zijn echt blij om vanaf nu dit geweldige spel aan de BGA Premium catalogus toe te voegen.
Zoals bij de andere Premium spellen (7 Wonders, Carcassonne, Terra Mystica,...), moet je Premium lid zijn om een nieuwe tafel van het spel aan te maken, en vervolgens kan je spelen met wie je maar wilt (Premium of niet).
