We are starting the back-to-school month with a bang! Hegemony: Lead your Class to Victory made a massive splash upon release and received multiple awards, because of how it simulates real-world politics and macroeconomics.
In this asymmetric, card-driven political-economic simulation, you control a completely different socio-economic class of a modern nation, each with its own unique components, actions, and paths to victory.
There are four roles you can play: the Working Class, whose goal is to find jobs for the workers, increase its population and secure high wages; the Capitalist Class whose objective is pure profit; the Middle Class, which balances between higher wages and lower taxes; and the State, that must maintain social stability and legitimacy.
While you have your own separate goals, all the players are limited by a series of policies that affect most of their actions, like Taxation, Labor Market, Foreign Trade, etc. Voting on those policies and using their influence to change them is also very important. Through careful planning, strategic actions and political maneuvering, you will do your best to increase the power of your class and carry out your agenda.
Hegemony: Lead your Class to Victory is played over a five rounds. Each one consists of multiple phases: the Action Phase, the Production Phase, the Elections Phase and the Scoring Phase. At the end of the 5th round, there is an additional Endgame step and end-game scoring is applied.

We beginnen de maand van de terugkeer naar school met een knaller! Hegemony: Lead your Class to Victory maakte bij de release een enorme indruk en won meerdere prijzen, vanwege de manier waarop het de politiek en macro-economie uit de echte wereld simuleert.
In deze asymmetrische, politiek-economische simulatie bestuur je met je kaarten een compleet andere sociaaleconomische klasse van een moderne natie, elk met zijn eigen unieke kenmerken, acties en wegen naar de overwinning.
Je kunt vier rollen spelen: de arbeidersklasse, die ernaar streeft banen te creëren voor de arbeiders, haar bevolking te laten groeien en hoge lonen te garanderen; de kapitalistische klasse, die puur winst nastreeft; de middenklasse, die een evenwicht zoekt tussen hogere lonen en lagere belastingen; en de staat, die de sociale stabiliteit en legitimiteit moet handhaven.
Hoewel je je eigen afzonderlijke doelen hebt, worden alle spelers beperkt door een reeks beleidsmaatregelen die de meeste van hun acties beïnvloeden, zoals belastingen, de arbeidsmarkt, buitenlandse handel, enzovoort. Stemmen over dit beleid en je invloed gebruiken om het te veranderen is ook erg belangrijk. Door zorgvuldige planning, strategische acties en politiek gemanoeuvreer doe je je best om de macht van je klasse te vergroten en je agenda te verwezenlijken.
Hegemony: Lead your Class to Victory wordt gespeeld over vijf rondes. Elke ronde bestaat uit meerdere fasen: de Actiefase, de Productiefase, de Verkiezingsfase en de Puntentellingfase. Aan het einde van de 5e ronde is er een extra Eindspelfase en worden de punten voor het eindspel berekend.
