The second title in the Quartermaster General "Front" series, a two-player strategy game, that can also be played solo, brings the Mediterranean theater of World War II to life.
Set between Summer 1940 and Spring 1944, Quartermaster General: South Front depicts the intense struggle for control over Southern Europe, North Africa, and the Mediterranean. The Axis player controls Germany, Italy, and their allies, while the Allied player leads the United Kingdom, the United States, and Free France.
If you’re already familiar with Quartermaster General: East Front, you’ll be pleased to find that none of the rules have changed, and the new additional rules will feel familiar. One key difference is that you have only one action per turn, making this game quicker. And the biggest change is the addition of a full fledge naval game.
The game is won by accumulating Victory Points, most of which will be awarded for controlling geographical objectives during the four annual scoring rounds. Strategic naval dominance and careful resource management are key to victory in this immersive and dynamic addition to the Quartermaster General Front series.

De tweede titel in de Quartermaster General "Front"-serie, een strategiespel voor twee spelers dat ook solo gespeeld kan worden, brengt het Middellandse Zeegebied van de Tweede Wereldoorlog tot leven.
Quartermaster General: South Front speelt zich af tussen de zomer van 1940 en de lente van 1944 en toont de intense strijd om de controle over Zuid-Europa, Noord-Afrika en het Middellandse Zeegebied. De speler van de Asmogendheden bestuurt Duitsland, Italië en hun bondgenoten, terwijl de speler van de Geallieerden het Verenigd Koninkrijk, de Verenigde Staten en Vrij Frankrijk aanvoert.
Als je al bekend bent met Quartermaster General: East Front, zul je blij zijn te ontdekken dat geen van de regels is veranderd en de nieuwe, aanvullende regels vertrouwd aanvoelen. Een belangrijk verschil is dat je slechts één actie per beurt hebt, waardoor het spel sneller verloopt. De grootste verandering is echter de toevoeging van een volwaardig zeespel.
Het spel wordt gewonnen door het verzamelen van overwinningspunten, waarvan de meeste worden toegekend voor het beheersen van geografische doelstellingen tijdens de vier jaarlijkse scorerondes.
