What is the best place to eat popcorn? The movie theater! And that’s where it all happens in this bag-building game.
In Popcorn, you manage your own movie theater, and you try to show the best movies to make your Guests happy. The game plays out over nine rounds; each divided in 3 phases. You may buy a new movie, build or upgrade your theater, or use advertising to attract new guests.
You draw Guests at random from a “bag” to see who has shown up and place them in the right seats to take the best actions, which will let you improve your cinema, influence your Guests, grow your audience, and gain money and Popcorn.
After watching films in your theaters, guests might want to try other cinemas as the competition is fierce and they will do anything to attract your guests. But you will probably do the same… At the end of the last round, the player with the most Popcorn wins.

POPCORN: Binnenkort op een Tafel In Jouw Buurt!
Waar kun je het beste popcorn eten? In de bioscoop! En daar gebeurt het allemaal in dit spel waarbij je een zak moet vullen.
In Popcorn beheer je je eigen bioscoop en probeer je de beste films te draaien om je Gasten tevreden te stellen. Het spel bestaat uit negen rondes, elk verdeeld in 3 fasen. Je kunt een nieuwe film kopen, je bioscoop bouwen of upgraden, of reclame maken om nieuwe gasten aan te trekken.
Je trekt willekeurig Gasten uit een ‘zak’ om te zien wie er is komen opdagen en plaatst ze op de juiste stoelen om de beste acties uit te voeren. Dit stelt je in staat om je bioscoop te verbeteren, je Gasten te beïnvloeden, je publiek te vergroten en geld en Popcorn te verdienen.
Nadat ze films in jouw theaters hebben gezien, willen gasten misschien andere bioscopen proberen, want de concurrentie is moordend en zij zullen er alles aan doen om jouw gasten te lokken. Maar jij zult waarschijnlijk hetzelfde doen... Aan het einde van de laatste ronde wint de speler met de meeste Popcorn.
Laat de beste films zien, veel beter dan die van de overkant, en bied de meest comfortabele stoelen aan om aan de verwachtingen van je publiek te voldoen.
