Amount of time it takes BGA to update?

I made a large edit earlier today then realized that the formatting was "off". I've made a few edits since then and none of them have been promoted (after that initial one). Any idea what the frequency of updates to the site is? One of the old admins mentioned it updates once per day.

From the behaviour I've experienced, edits are written instantly after the first edit (if there hasn't been one in the last 24 hours), and then only rechecked at some predetermined scheduled time which can be anytime within the next 24 hours (not sure what that time would be, or if it varies depending on server). This is likely in order to prevent a DoS attack or just generally to limit the load on BGA servers. --Sammy McSam (talk)
