When the Level Up expansion is enabled, only the base characters (plus Panda) are available to be picked, even when Bonus Monsters is enabled. I know that the other characters (eg from the halloween update) have evolution cards as I have the Monster Box which includes the Halloween expansion, Level Up expansion and Baby Gigazaur, so it's a bit odd that they're not available.
It would also be nice if you could pick the 2nd edition monsters (Cyberkitty and Penguin) alongside the normal characters when playing with the Dark Edition (and the other way round, you should be able to pick Cyber Bunny and Kraken when playing the base game if you want to enable the option). There's no rule reason I can see to not let that happen. -

I don't have images for Dark Cyberkitty and Penguin or for standard Cyber Bunny and Kraken (and they don't exist in the latest edition of the base game, I believe it's licencing issues).
I didn't necessarily mean having Dark cyberkitty/penguin or OG Bunny/Kraken. Imagine if you owned both standard and dark editions, you could bring in the characters from either version. Obviously the art would clash, but that already happens as you can use the Panda in Dark Edition
