Rapportgeschiedenis
In stage 2, nobody took coast die damage until the very last shortcut, and the stage ended with an assistance tile so nobody needed to use their spare tyre anyway. Did you think they would repair a different kind of damage? I did see a couple of turns end in 1st gear, but as you say you can't tell anything from the logs. Again though, with no coast die damage to repair, the spare tyre wouldn't have done anything.
In stage 3, more coast damage is dished out, and the red car uses their one and only spare tyre to remove a coast die, somewhere around turn 1820, but again, I see nothing obvious regarding other places trying to use a spare tyre, or even needing to use it.
On an unrelated note, I did see was a car share a shortcut space with another car to overtake them, which is another bug (somewhere around turn 1175).
