Because you're playing Arena. It's the same for all games in arena ;)

Thanks for the swift reply Emma,

I didn't realise it was the same for all the Arena games...

Even worse, because actually you can see the ELO and arena score in those 5 seconds when the game is starting... So what's the point of not showing them during the game? Can't understand the rationale... complete nonsense, sorry: or you don't show them until the game ends or if you show them why it has to be just for 5 secs before the game starts?
If my browser lags or if I am on another page when I find an opponent then I can't see my oppo rank while he could have seen mine, why do I need to have a disadvantage?
Please think about it and kindly provide a fair and sensible answer.

I'm not part of the BGA team. For me ELO is just an indicator to match similar player level. And Arena is the real competition, and Arena ranking is the real ladder. ELO would always be hidden if I was in charge :D
